  • The New Blackwell Companion to the City, edited by Gary Bridge and CRESC's Sophie Watson is reviewed in today's Observer by architecture critic, Rowan Moore, todether wth Living in the Endless City, edited by Ricky Burdett and Deyan Sudjic. 'Certain themes', notes Moore, 'emerge from both books, such as a suspicion for simple over-arching solutions, horror at inequality and division, support for intelligent public transport systems over super-highways driven through poor neighbourhoods.'
