This project investigates changes in everyday economic and social relations across the Aegean through a focus on the circulation of money between two coastal market towns, one in Greece and one in Turkey.  The research will trace how the border is shaped in material and social terms through endless interactions, exchanges and minor conflicts between the two sides.
