Some information about me
Profile
-
I have 3 main areas of research interest:
- The growing academic work on the 'cultural economy' and in particular its relation to TV broadcasting and other areas of the entertainment business.
- Revisiting and updating older academic work on the social character of economic elites, by examining CEO pay in relation to the 'new' or 'entrepreneurial' rich. This in turn feeds back into my previous research on inequality, low-income households and the question of mobility.
- Understanding the interaction between financialisation, strategy and governance, in particular the role of narrative and its affects on buy, hold, sell decisions in different industries.
