Co-editing (with Mike Savage) special issue of John Rylands Bulletin, ‘Arts and the city: cultural institutions in Manchester, 1800-2010’ (2013 publication) Currently working on a book which combines family history, cultural history, memoir and visual imagery. Planning a book about 19th and 20th century Manchester, focusing on links between cotton, chemistry and the visual arts.
